Nashville Sounds take Game One against Oklahoma City Dodgers

 

Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – Renato Nunez knocked in five runs for the Nashville Sounds in a thrilling 10-7 win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers in game one of the American Conference Finals Wednesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

Nashville raced out to a 6-0 lead thanks in part to a three-run homer from Nunez in the opening frame. They chased rehabbing Scott Kazmir from the game after the southpaw hit two batters, walked a pair and allowed the home run.

Clarksville Police report Multi-Agency Drug Trafficking Seizure of 180 pounds of Marijuana

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On September 3rd, 2016, at approximately 5:30pm, 180 pounds of marijuana and over $11,000.00 was seized in the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn at 290 Alfred Thun Road, Clarksville, TN.

This is just one seizure in an ongoing investigation into a Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) that is responsible for bringing large quantities of drugs into the Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky areas.

AAA says Gas Prices Drop to Close Out Labor Day Weekend

 

AAATampa, FL – The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline has dropped six consecutive days after rising for 16 straight days to close out August. Today’s national average is $2.20 per gallon. Gas prices started turning lower heading into the Labor Day weekend, which marks the unofficial end to the summer driving season.

Today’s national average is two cents less than a week ago and 18 cents less than a year ago but 8 cents more than one month ago. The year-on-year discount persists but has closed more than 30 cents in just 20 days.

Tennessee Driver’s License Renewal Available at Clarksville City Hall

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Area residents now have another location – Clarksville City Hall — where they can renew their driver’s licenses.

Citizens can drop by the revenue collection office on the first floor at City Hall, One Public Square, from 7:30am to 5:00pm weekdays to renew or replace their state driver’s license or state identification card. There is free one-hour parking nearby.

TBI Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Stephen Mobley now in Custody in Chattanooga

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – A man who was added to the TBI’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” list yesterday is now in custody. Stephen Maurice Mobley turned himself in to officers with the Chattanooga Police Department Wednesday morning.

Mobley, also known as “Dollar”, was wanted by the Chattanooga Police Department and TBI in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred on Monday.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Powell Road Water Outage

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Powell Road from Amberley Road to the end of Powell Road to repair a water main leak.

The water outage will also affect the Riverbend Landing subdivision residents on East Accipiter Circle, West Accipiter Circle, Piter Road and Colin Court.

The work is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 1:00pm.

Pillar of Hope Exhibit

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government will once again display the Pillars of Hope exhibit at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 events.

This collection of hand painted ceramic tiles was designed to be mini-memorials honoring the heroes of 9/11.
