The Ashland City, Tennessee, native finished with five points on the afternoon after also recording an assist.

Robertson becomes the first Gov to total two or more goals in a single game since Gina Fabbro did so on October 9th last year against Jacksonville State.

The Governors (5-4-0) got off to a great start from the opening whistle, pressing the Chattanooga back line with redshirt sophomore Morgan Jackson serving accurate crosses into the box.

Austin Peay’s first goal came in the 57th minute courtesy of Robertson. While in the box, her initial shot was blocked, but followed up with another low shot which found a home in the bottom left corner.

Two minutes later, redshirt freshman Pamela Penaloza scored the first goal of her career. Robertson played a through ball in the center of the pitch, and as the keeper charged forward, Penaloza poked it past into theĀ open net.

The Mocs answered back in the 71st minute after winning a free kick just outside the box following a hand ball by APSU. Ellie Myrick delivered it into the net to cut Austin Peay’s lead to 2-1.

Chattanooga made a late rally beginning in the 84th minute. McKenzie Gregg sent a corner kick into the box, where Karina Jensen got her head to it and bounced it off the back post and in. But in the final minutes, APSU maintained possession to ultimately hold on for the victory.

Robertson finished with a game-high five shots, while Penaloza recorded three. In goal, junior Lindsey Todd played the full 90 minutes, improving her record to 3-0-0 in 2016.

Austin Peay begins its Ohio Valley Conference schedule 6:00pm, Thursday at Morehead State.
