He will be considered for the statewide award from among the nine Tennessee divisions, which will be recognized at the TSBA Annual Convention in November.

In his role as a Clarksville Montgomery County School System Parent Ambassador, he serves as a liaison and school leader helping other parents and families become better connected to the school.

He assists families with setting up PowerSchool accounts where they can review grades often and communicate with their teachers. Mr. Woodall does not only help parents and families to become involved, he also helps the teachers at Sango Elementary School by serving as a proxy and shopping at the Teacher’s Warehouse for free classroom supplies at their request.

Woodall has dedicated his time and energy to helping maintain Sango Elementary School’s warm and welcoming environment for all families. He proudly dons his parent ambassador T-shirt and sets up a booth with a banner, tablecloth, and goodies just to make himself available to parents and families who walk by and would like to become more involved, but may not know how to get started. He recruits volunteers for school projects and events, and encourages parents and families to attend important school meetings, such as workshops and parent-teacher conferences.

Woodall served on the Tennessee Department of Education parent feedback committee for the TNREADY parent report. He also attends monthly communications meetings with the director of schools, Dr. B.J. Worthington. In these meetings, the director shares details about district news, updates, and upcoming decisions. Mr. Woodall helps us to disseminate this information to hard-to-reach families throughout the Sango community.
