Clarksville Association of Realtors to hold 2016 Clarksville/Montgomery County Candidate Debate October 4th

Clarksville Association of REALTORSClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Association of Realtors (CAR) will host a Candidate Debate on October 4th. The debate will feature candidates from the US House of Representatives for District 67, and Clarksville City Council (Wards 3, 4, 5, and 9).

The 2016 Clarksville/Montgomery County Candidate Debate, which will be held at the CAR office at 115 Center Point Drive, will be the second political debate hosted by CAR’s Governmental Affairs Committee this year.

“As Realtors, we think it’s important to work with our leaders to bring awareness to the issues faced by property owners in our community,” said Mercy Neysmith, CAR’s 2016 Governmental Affairs Committee Chair.

“CAR has a long history of being involved in this community, and we are proud to have so many of our Realtors taking an interest and participating in our event,” said Kayla Goad-LeVan, 2016 President of the Clarksville Association of Realtors.

The Candidate Debate will feature Mike Warner (I) and Representative Joe Pitts (D), who are both running for District 67 of the US House of Representatives, as well as candidates for Clarksville City Council. The candidates from the Clarksville City Council races include Ron Erb and James Lewis (Ward 3), Burnst Gonzales and Ron Westfall (Ward 4), Joey Dasinger, Valerie Guzman, and Summer Holloway (Ward 5), and Mike Gluff and Bruce Livesay (Ward 9).

The debate will begin at 3:00pm with the candidates from District 67 of the US House of Representatives, and will continue hourly with individual City Council wards. This event will be open to the public, and participants will have the opportunity to submit questions to the candidates. CAR will also be live-streaming the debate from CAR’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
