For all attendees, there will be free professional cosplay and costume photography available. The Cosplay contest is scheduled for Saturday, November 5th, with pre-judging starting at noon. Local professional cosplayer Felicia McLellan of Space Lion Cosplay says, “Seeing a convention so close to home makes me proud and excited as a costumer.

It is a great reminder that geek culture is expanding and continuing to stay relevant. I normally drive long distances to the conventions I attend, packing my car full of costumes, so knowing that one is nearly in my backyard is wonderful. The costuming and cosplay community is my family and I am eager to help support its growth in my own backyard.”
