Montgomery Central High School Girl’s Soccer loses to Page in Regional 6A-AA Semifinal

Montgomery Central High School - MCHS - IndiansCunningham, TN – Montgomery Central High School’s Girls Soccer lost 4-1 at home Tuesday, October 19th, 2016 to the Page High School Patriots from Franklin Tennessee in the first round of Regional 6A-AA Semifinal play.

The Lady Indians struck first when Darian Bricker broke free behind the Patriots defenders to land her shot on goal at the 11 minute mark. Page would answer three minutes later with a goal of their own knotting the contest at 1-1.

The game would remain tied through the end of the first half.

The second half began with neither side giving an inch to the other until the 72 minute mark when Page scored the go ahead goal. Two minutes later, the Patriots would score again and then five minutes after that they added another goal for the final score of 4-1. It was Montgomery Central’s first loss of the season.

With the win, Page (13-7-1) moves on to play at CPA on Thursday, October 20th.

Montgomery Central ended the season with an overall record of (17-1-3) and was undefeated in district play with a record of (7-0-2). The Lady Indians won the District 11 A/AA Championship by defeating Fairview 3-0 on October 13th.
