Clarksville, TN – Head men’s tennis coach Ross Brown has announced Austin Peay State University’s 2017 spring schedule, featuring 16 matches.
APSU will play nine matches at the Governors Tennis Center throughout the campaign.
The Govs will open the season on the road at the University of Tennessee on January 16th before opening their home schedule with George Washington on January 27th in Clarksville.After a road trip to Chattanooga on January 28th, APSU returns home for a two-match swing with Lipscomb on February 4th and Southern Indiana on February 10th.
Four matches follow in the month of February and into March as the final tune-ups before Ohio Valley Conference play. A road trip to Louisville on February 14th starts the four-match set.
The Govs return home to host Lindsey Wilson on February 25th before traveling down to Pensacola, FL, for a match against West Florida on March 8th. The final pre-conference match against Southern Illinois is set for March 11th.
The Govs open OVC play with a two-match road trip to Nashville starting with Tennessee State on March 17th and ending with Belmont on March 18th.
Three home matches carry the Govs into the month of April with OVC foe Tennessee Tech on March 24th, Jacksonville State on March 24th and the University of Pikeville on April 1st rounding out the homestand.
The final road match of the season will be on the road at Eastern Illinois on April 8th before the Govs close out the regular season at home with Eastern Kentucky on April 14th.
The OVC Tournament is set for April 21st, 2017 in Nashville Tennessee.
