Land Between the Lake releases Late Fall & Winter Operation Schedule

 

Land Between the Lakes - LBLLand Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Visitor facilities at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area began late fall and winter operation schedules in November.

Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Woodlands Nature Station will offer various guided programs, including the popular Bald Eagle Van and River Cruise Tours. Starting November 25th, Planetarium visitors will experience vivid laser lights set to holiday music and other holiday shows digitally projected on a 40-foot dome. Montgomery County Maintains AA+ Bond Rating

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government is pleased to announce that its  general obligation public improvement bonds, series 2016A and general obligation refunding bonds, series 2016B have been assigned a AA+ rating by S&P Global Rating.

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett states, “As we continually strive to be good stewards of the county’s tax dollars, we are very pleased to again receive the rating of AA+. We work to ensure the confidence of the public in the way we handle and maintain fiscal responsibility and it’s always great when that is reinforced with a strong bond rating such as this. Very few counties are able to maintain a AA+ rating, so I am extremely proud that Montgomery County continues to do so.”

Clarksville Gas and Water announces Oakland Road Water Outage Rescheduled

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has rescheduled the water outage and water valve replacement work planned for today on Oakland Road to Monday, November 14th, 2016, at 9:00am.

Water service will be turned off on Oakland Road from Meriwether Road to Flower Drive and area residents may also experience low water pressure during the work.

Music City Pickers Live in Franklin Kicks Off Inaugural Night With Ricky Skaggs

 

Music City PickersFranklin, TN – Music City Pickers Live (www.musiccitypickerslive.com) is a new series that will be presenting concerts weekly at The Little Brick Theater at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee starting December 1st, 2016. Their inaugural concert starring Ricky Skaggs was held November 3rd, 2016.

Every Thursday night Music City Pickers will feature up-and-coming talent and hit-makers in two live shows, one running from 6:00pm-7:30pm, then another from 8:30pm-10:00pm. The recently renovated Little Brick Theater has fine acoustics. It is an intimate space ideal for listening to the songs and stories behind the music.

This group spent the day trimming shrubs, mulching, cleaning out flower beds and planting new flowers.

Clarksville Police Arrest Sango Pharmacy Armed Robbery Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Yesterday, November 7th, 2016 at 11:13am, Clarksville Police Officers were dispatched to the Sango Pharmacy on Madison Street near the Richview Road intersection due to an E911 call about an Armed Robbery.

A white male with a handgun wearing a camouflage hat, square glasses with dark rims, and a gray shirt robbed the pharmacy. Immediately the District 3 Criminal Investigations Unit with the assistance of the District 3 Patrol Officers jumped on strong leads that led them to the suspect.

Austin Peay State University’s Zeta Phi Beta chapter leads state in service

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University undergraduate chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., an international non-profit community service sorority, was recognized last month as being the number one collegiate chapter in Tennessee for community service activities.

The designation came during the sorority’s Tennessee Leadership Conference, held in Nashville Tennessee on October 28th and 29th.
