Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan joins in honoring Veterans

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan addressed a patriotic assembly at Rossview Middle School, celebrated military veterans with a proclamation at Clarksville Senior Citizens Center, and attended a breakfast fundraiser for “SAFE: Soldiers and Families Embraced” on Thursday as she helped groups across Clarksville get in the spirit of Veterans Day.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan attended a Veterans Day assembly at Rossview Middle School on Thursday and met Tanner Fowers and her parents. During the assembly, Tanner read her moving essay, which won the Kiwanis Club Veterans Day Essay Content.

Trinity Episcopal Parish holds Fall Festival

 

Trinity Episcopal ParishClarksville, TN – On Saturday, November 5th, 2016 the Trinity Episcopal Parish held their annual Fall Festival from 10:00am until 3:00pm. The event was filled with activities, crafts, shopping, food. It was a good time for families and the local community.

The petting zoo allowed children to feed and pet animals like a lama, pig, etc. Pony rides were also available. There was also face painting, crafts, games of skill and more.

Crafts for the kids was just one of the activities at the Fall Festival held by Trinity Episcopal Parish.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has planned a water outage on Sunday, November 13th, 2016, at 7:00am on Madison Street between Golf Club Lane and Crossland Avenue for water valve replacement work.

Construction crews will intermittently close eastbound lanes of traffic; however, Madison Street will remain passable during the work.

Fort Campbell Directorate of Emergency ServicesFort Campbell, KY – The Fort Campbell Directorate of Emergency Services reports that Fort Campbell’s Gate 3, Gate 6, Angels Gate, and Mabry Gate will be closed for the Veterans Day Holiday/DONSA weekend beginning on Friday, November 11th, 2016 and going through Monday, November 14th, 2016.

All other gates (Gates 1, 4, 7 and 10) will continue their normal hours of operation during the weekend.

APSU Men's Basketball - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Men’s Basketball team’s signing of two prep standouts kicked off early signing period for head coach Dave Loos, which picked up Bowling Green, Kentucky’s Terry Taylor and Richard Henderson Jr. of Maryland Heights, Missouri, to open the period.

“I’m happy with both of them,” said head coach Dave Loos. “They can both really hit the boards hard and chase the ball down. I think they can both come in and contribute.

Clarksville Police look to identify Burglary Suspect’s Vehicle

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Josh Jobe is trying to identify the vehicle of the suspect involved in a Burglary to a Business and is requesting public assistance.

The burglary occurred between November 5th, 2016 at 11:45pm to November 6th, 2016 at 10:32am at Skyline Bowling Lanes on 201 Kraft Street. The suspect took a felony amount of cash and caused a felony amount of damage to the business.

Clarksville Police are trying to identify the vehicle of a burgalry suspect and are requesting public assistance.

Fort Campbell, KY – Signs, balloons, Families and friends filled Hanger 3, here, to welcome approximately 250 Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, home November 5th.

The air defense artillery Soldier returned from a nine-month deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Afghanistan.
