APSU Women's Volleyball - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball and beach volleyball programs have added four athletes during the early signing period, head coach Taylor Mott announced Friday.

Joining the two programs for the 2017-18 season are Nina Korfhage (Louisville, Kentucky), Brooke Moore (Louisville, Kentucky), Chloe Stitt (Summitville, Indiana) and Caroline Waite (Knoxville, Tennessee).

The quartet will provide depth to a Governors indoor program enjoying its 11th 20-win campaign and entering the final regular-season week with second place in its sights.

Korfhage, a 5-4 defensive specialist, and Moore, a 5-10 outside hitter, were teammates for national prep power Assumption High School, which won the Kentucky state championship in 2015.

Stitt, a 5-8 outside hitter, prepped at Delta High School where she was a two-time first-team all-state selection and led the team to the sectional championship in 2016.

Waite, a 5-10 setter/right-side hitter, completed her prep career at Hardin Valley Academy where she helped the team to a third-place finish in the TSSAA Class 3A Championship.

Nina Korfhage
5-4, defensive specialist
Louisville, Kentucky (Assumption HS)
Was a defensive and serving specialist at Assumption High School and head coach Ron Kordes… posted 57 service aces (1.10 per set) as a senior and was charged with only 11 reception errors in 113 attempts… recorded 72 service aces (2.25 per set) during junior season with only three reception errors in 48 opportunities… played club volleyball for KIVA and was a member of AAU national champions on the 17-under squad.

Brooke Moore
5-10, outside hitter
Louisville, Kentucky (Assumption HS)
Named first-team all-state by Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association as a senior after posting 270 kills (2.93 per set) and a .245 attack percentage with 34 service aces, 31 blocks and 237 digs… led Assumption High School under head coach Ron Kordes to 2015 KSHAA State Championship with 332 kills (3.19 per set) and a .264 attack percentage as a junior… named to KHSAA All-Tournament team in 2015, posting 45 kills (3.46 per set) and a .298 attack percentage in four tourney matches… had back-to-back 16 kill efforts in tourney quarterfinals and semifinals to help team reach championship match… was named to PrepVolleyball.com Special Mention All-America squad… selected to AVCA Phenom List in 2014 and 2015… played club volleyball for KIVA.

Chloe Stitt
5-8, outside hitter/defensive specialist
Summitville, Indiana (Delta HS)
Helped lead Delta High School coached by Heidi Zickgraf to sectional championship match as a senior… scored 22 kills in the sectional championship match against eventual state champion Yorktown… finished 2016 with 338 kills (3.45 per set) and a .282 attack percentage… named first-team All-State as a junior and senior… selected to North Junior All-Star team after posting 353 kills (3.24 per set) and .248 attack percentage in 2015… played for Munciana Volleyball and coach Pancho Alvarez.

Caroline Waite
5-9, setter/right-side hitter
Knoxville, Tennessee (Hardin Valley Academy)
As a senior led Hardin Valley Academy, under head coach and Austin Peay alumna Mitzi McCurry, to a 33-11 record and the No. 1 seed in the 2016 TSSAA State Championship where it ultimately finished in third place… finished season with 182 kills, 455 assists, 70 service aces and 53 blocks… was a first-team all-district 4-AAA selection and named to the district 4-AAA all-tournament team… during junior campaign recorded 242 kills and 123 digs and was named to the all-district 4-AAA team… played for K2 Volleyball Club and coach Andre Alves.
