APSU Department of Languages and Literature to hold 22nd annual Bread and Words reading November 21st

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – To help usher in the Thanksgiving holiday, the Austin Peay State University Department of Languages and Literature will host the 22nd annual Bread and Words Benefit to raise public awareness of hunger in the local community.

The event takes place November 21st in the Morgan University Center Ballroom on the University campus.

A meal of homemade soups and bread, prepared by faculty members in the Austin Peay Department of Languages and Literature, will be served at 6:00pm, followed by a reading at 7:00pm

A recommended donation of $5.00 is requested at the door. All proceeds will go to the Austin Peay Save Our Students (S.O.S.) Food Pantry, which supports students and staff members in need.

This year’s readers are Ben Caldwell and James Tyler, graduate students in the department of Languages & Literature; Stephanie Bryant, Rachel Chaffin, and Deidra Sloss, undergraduate students in the creative writing program; and Andrea Spofford, associate professor of English.
