APSU Baseball announces Season Ticket Holiday Special

APSU Baseball - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – With 65 days until Austin Peay State University’s baseball team opens its 2017 schedule, the athletics ticket office is presenting fans special holiday pricing on the Governors 2017 season ticket package.

Beginning Wednesday and available through January 3rd, baseball season tickets are available at $45.00 each – less than $2.00 per game over the entire 28-game home schedule.

It provides fans a nearly 20 percent savings over the regular reserved seating prices.

To take advantage of the holiday offer, Governors baseball fans can visit the online ticket office, call the Athletics Ticket Office or call to purchase their tickets.

Austin Peay’s baseball team opens its 2017 schedule, Friday, February 17th when it hosts the Riverview Inn Governors Challenge. The round-robin event will pit the Govs against Youngstown State, Illinois State and Indiana State.

That is the first salvo in a 28-game home slate. Weekend series include nonconference foe Mercer as well as Ohio Valley Conference series against Jacksonville State, Belmont, Tennessee Tech, Morehead State and SIU Edwardsville. In addition, six Tuesday contests and a single Wednesday afternoon game dot the schedule.

The Governors return 14 letterwinners from last season’s team that finished third in the OVC regular season race. Those returnees include APSU’s entire weekend starting rotation: senior right-hander Alex Robles, senior right-hander Caleb Powell and sophomore left-hander Michael Costanzo. Robles also features as one of the Govs four returning defensive starters along with fellow seniors Chase Hamilton (outfield) and Dre Gleason (first base) and sophomore catcher Alex Sala.
