TBI cancels Amber Alert for 1-year old Isiah Edwards

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationMemphis, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has canceled its Tennessee state wide Amber Alert for missing 1-year-old Isiah Edwards. The Memphis Police Department have found the child and he is safe.

The baby was never in danger according to Memphis Police. He was not in the car when it was stolen. The child had been with relatives since last night.

The mother had told police that her child was in the car when it was stolen from a gas station. This set off a massive search for the child and the TBI issuing an Amber Alert. The mother now faces some serious charges for giving a false report.

TBI issues Tennessee Statewide Amber Alert for 1-year old Isiah Edwards

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued a statewide AMBER Alert on behalf of Memphis Police Department for 1-year old Isiah Edwards, a black male, 2’ and 25 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt, camouflage pants and black “Jordan” tennis shoes.

Isiah was in the back of a vehicle that was stolen at approximately 12:40pm in the 6200 block of Knight Arnold Road in Memphis. The vehicle has been recovered.

Austin Peay’s Lidia Yanes Garcia named APSU Athlete of the Week

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team sophomore Lidia Yanes Garcia has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

The Governors No. 1 enjoyed a sterling start to the Ohio Valley Conference season, going 2-0 to open league play against Tennessee State and Belmont, winning in straight sets against the Tigers Ani Popiashvili (6-2, 6-1) and the Bruins Laura Kent (6-3, 7-5). She teamed with Isabela Jovanovic for a 6-3 doubles win against Belmont’s Maddie Gilley and Abbie Mather as well.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s Darrell Allison receives Excellence in Law Enforcement Award

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Darrell Allison on receiving the United States Attorney Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement.

Allison is 32-year veteran of law enforcement and the current Assistant Director of the 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force.

The award recognizes those in the law enforcement community who save lives, stop violence, protect the peace, and bring healing to victims and communities.

City of Clarksville, Urban Ministries, THDA dedicate center for homeless families

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Safe Place, a new transitional center to help homeless families, was dedicated Wednesday by Urban Ministries and the City of Clarksville.

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan; Beverly Dycus, Executive Director of Urban Ministries/Clarksville; Clarksville Director of Housing & Community Development Keith Lampkin; and Sherry Smith, senior housing coordinator for the Tennessee Housing Development Agency; joined with a crowd of about 60 citizens to dedicate the facility and celebrate the new community resource.
