APSU Baseball - Austin Peay State UniversityCarbondale, IL – Starting pitcher Josh Rye tossed seven shutout innings to lead Austin Peay State University’s baseball team to its second straight road win in a 4-0 nonconference win against Southern Illinois, Tuesday night at Itchy Jones Stadium.

For a second straight game, Austin Peay (13-15) jumped on the board first.

Clarksville Police Department releases Alcoholic Beverage Commission Operation results from March 23rd, 2017

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On March 23rd, 2017, ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control ) Agents of the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Unit, in conjunction with State ABC Agents, conducted alcohol beverage compliance checks targeting the sale of alcohol to underage persons.

The compliance checks were conducted at thirteen businesses.

Clarksville Police report Motorcycle Crash at Riverside Drive and McClure Street

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, March 4th, 2017, around 4:16pm, a 57 year old man, riding a 2002 Harley motorcycle was traveling north on Riverside Drive in the left travel lane when the traffic stopped abruptly in front of him.

He swerved into the center lane to avoid a collision and laid the motorcycle down. He was ejected off the motorcycle and rolled multiple times.

Enhanced Risk of Severe Thunderstorms across Clarksville-Montgomery County Wednesday

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service says there is an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms for Clarksville-Montgomery County and Middle Tennessee on Wednesday, April 5th.

Storms are expected to develop during the afternoon and evening hours. Although severe storms will be possible west of I-65, the highest chances of severe weather appear to be east of I-65.

Clarksville Police catch Burglar in the Act

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, April 3rd, 2017, around 11:12pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to an alarm call at a business located at the 2800 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. There was allegedly a female inside of the closed business.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing Clarksville teen.

Margaret Lee, 16, has been missing since April 1st, 2017.

Lee is an Asian female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.

She was last seen in Clarksville, Tennessee wearing a denim jacket.

Austin Peay State University Latin/geology student Elizabeth Wilcox headed to Europe for Roman site excavation

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – On a sweltering afternoon in Tallil, Iraq, a U.S. Army soldier named Elizabeth Wilcox paused on her way to the gym to examine what looked like seashells on the desert floor.

Centuries ago, the Euphrates River had flowed through the area, surrounding a nearby stone structure some scholars believe was the Tower of Babel, but that channel of the river had long since turned to dust.
