A trio of teams the Govs will face next week at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships will join them in Murray, Kentucky this week—Austin Peay and the host Racers also will be joined by Belmont and Tennessee State, with Alabama State, Arkansas State, Lipscomb, Louisiana Monroe, Northern Kentucky, South Alabama and Western Kentucky rounding out the field.

“We’re looking forward to playing a great field this week,” said head coach Sara Robson. “We’re going to focus on getting the speed of the greens and hitting greens in regulation. Those two things along with staying focused and playing with determination will allow us to play well this week.”

The first 36 holes begin with an 8:30am shotgun start, Friday, with the final round kicking off at 8:30am, Saturday. The par-72 course measures out at 6,017 yards.

Sophomore Ashton Goodley will remain atop the lineup this week after earning a tie for 11th last week at the Colonel Classic. Her sister Taylor Goodley will play out of the No. 3 slot, with senior Morgan Kauffman, in her final regular-season event as a Governor, playing as the No. 2—she fired a final-round 73 at Richmond last week, parring 15 of 18 holes to earn a spring-best 15th-place finish.

Junior AnnaMichelle Moore and freshman Meghann Stamps finish out the Governors lineup, with Amber Bosworth playing as the individual.

The Govs snagged a fifth-place finish in this event a year ago, thanks largely to a third-place finish from the departed Jessica Cathey. Taylor Goodley added an eighth-place finish as well.

There will be no live scoring for this event; results will be posted at LetsGoPeay.com at the round’s conclusion. Rain is not expected to be a factor at this weekend’s event.
