Clarksville, TN – Psychosocial Recovery clients in Clarksville were recently treated to a spa day by local Centerstone staff. The event emphasized the importance of self-care for both mind and body.
“We wanted them to experience a therapeutic environment to unwind and de-stress with meditation, face masks, foot spa and a relaxation station with roller massagers, stress balls and a Zen garden,” said BreAnne Nixon, psychosocial educator.
Centerstone Psychosocial Recovery provides recovery-based education and support that assists individuals in achieving educational, vocational and interpersonal goals. These services are available in Bedford, Coffee, Davidson, Dickson, Maury and Montgomery counties.
“We have a total of six locations in Middle Tennessee where we provide unique and social focused events to improve the lives of our clients,” said Kay Card, clinical program manager. “Psychosocial staff felt that with the integration of health homes at Centerstone, it would be beneficial to have an event that ties the care and concerns of our mental and physical health together. We plan to implement this as an annual event.”
