This is the sophomore from El Dorado, Illinois’ second postseason honor from the conference in as many years—she earned a spot on the All-Newcomer team in 2016 as a freshman.

With the departure of longtime top-of-the-lineup fixture Jessica Cathey, Goodley took on an even heavier burden this season and responded with a 76.77 stroke average, leading the Govs into the 2017 OVC Tournament.

Goodley recorded four top-10 finishes and finished in the top-20 in her first five tournaments, including a runner-up finish at the APSU Invitational. Her season-best 71 came in the opening round at the MVC Preview, earning an 11th-place finish in that field.

She bookended the regular season with top-10 finishes, placing ninth in the season-opening Drake Creek Invitational and 10th in the regular season finale at the Jan Weaver Invitational—both tournaments hosted by Murray State.

Overall, Goodley ranks 11th in the OVC in stroke average and sports a .759 winning percentage (469-140-26) with two rounds to go in the 2017 OVC Women’s Golf Championship.

“It’s a testament to the year she’s had,” said head coach Sara Robson. “She had to battle this spring and hung in there for us and played strong for the team.

“I’m very proud of how consistent she’s played. I look for her to have two good rounds the next couple of days.”
