APSU Volleyball hits the road Tuesday for three game road trip

APSU Women's VolleyballClarksville, TN – After suffering its first loss in a month, Austin Peay’s volleyball team hits the road for a three-match road trip this week. First, the Governors will step out of league action for a midweek outing at Western Kentucky, Tuesday, October 10th, 2017.

Austin Peay then returns to Ohio Valley Conference action with matches at Tennessee Tech, Friday, October 13th  and Jacksonville State, Sunday, October 15th.

Support cancer patients by giving blood with the Red Cross

 

American Red CrossClarksville, TN – During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to give blood to support cancer patients and others.

Mary Alice Donofrio gave blood for the first time in memory of her mother who received several blood transfusions while being treated for breast cancer.

Clarksville Police reports Multiple Vehicle Burglaries occurred over the Weekend

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports approximately 21 vehicle burglaries in the City of Clarksville (reported) over this past weekend with most of those burglaries being to unlocked vehicles.

There were two guns, military gear, IPADs, wallets, money, etc. stolen during the vehicle burglaries.

Clarksville Police received around 21 reports of vehicle burglaries over the week.

Clarksville Community comes Together to Help Families in Puerto Rico Communicate

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Since disaster struck Puerto Rico at the end of September, there are still families who have been unable to communicate with their loved ones and determine if they are safe or need help.  

Police Chaplain/Reverend/Dr. Modesto Martinez recognized the need for something to be done to help overcome the lack of viable communication in Puerto Rico. The destruction of cell towers during the hurricane made cell phone communication extremely limited and sporadic, especially in remote locations, so other methods would need to be used.
