APSU Women's GolfNashville, TN – Senior AnnaMichelle Moore closed out her first career victory with a flourish and Austin Peay State University women’s golf wrapped up its first team title since 2015 with another program-record round at the Town and Country Invitational at McCabe Golf Course, hosted by Tennessee State.

The Governors topped the field by an incredible 22 shots at 583 (292-291), besting fellow Ohio Valley Conference foe Belmont (305-300-605).

APSU Volleyball set for Three Games this week

APSU Women's VolleyballClarksville, TN – The Ohio Valley Conference-leading Governors have another busy week in store with three contests on the schedule. First the Govs will close a three-match road trip with a 6:00pm, Wednesday nonconference contest at Middle Tennessee.

The Govs return to league play with a 7:00pm, Friday contest against UT Martin followed by a 2:00pm, Saturday match against Southeast Missouri.

They have been associated with thefts and burglaries in Clarksville, Green Hills, Nashville, Springfield and Rivergate.

Also, they’ve been linked with some window smash and grab of purses out of vehicles.

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (4-3) return from their bye this week to host the Baltimore Ravens (4-4). Kickoff at Nissan Stadium (capacity 69,143) is scheduled for Noon CST on Sunday, November 5th, 2017.

This is the second of four consecutive games for the Titans against teams from the AFC North. Prior to their Week 8 bye, they traveled to face the Cleveland Browns and left with an overtime win. After clashing with the Ravens, the Titans will host the Cincinnati Bengals on November 12th before visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers for a Thursday night showdown on November 16th.

Roxy Regional Theatre to perform Whimsical Musical Version of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, November 3rd-11th

 

Clarskville's Roxy Regional TheatreClarksville, TN – “Ah, what fools these mortals be!” An annual tradition at the corner of Franklin and First in Historic Downtown Clarksville takes a twist this fall with the Roxy Regional Theatre’s production of A Midsumer Night’s Dream: The Musical, opening Friday, November 3rd, at 8:00pm.

In keeping with the theatre’s opening night pay-what-you-can tradition, all tickets not pre-sold at the regular ticket price will go on sale at 7:30pm that evening for a $5.00 minimum donation.

APSU honors former TBR chancellor with John Morgan Walk of History

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – When John Morgan says he grew up on the Austin Peay State University campus, he’s not talking metaphorically. His father, Joe Morgan, served as the University’s fourth president, and during those years, the family lived in the historic Archwood Home on College Street.

John literally grew up at Austin Peay, and after earning his degree from the University, he continued to think of the campus as his home.

Fright on Franklin has Large Turnout in Chilly Weather

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Ghouls and goblins took over Downtown Clarksville Saturday during Fright on Franklin. Despite the cold, hundreds filled the streets to take part in safe trick or treating and Halloween fun.

More than 70 local organizations and businesses took part providing candy and treats for those in attendance.
