Austin Peay State University Soccer coach Kelley Guth resigns

APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer head coach Kelley Guth, who has helmed the program since its inception in 2002, resigned Wednesday for personal reasons. Athletics Director Ryan Ivey accepted Guth’s resignation and has named Jeremy Sullivan as the program’s acting head coach, effective immediately.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold Handmade Holidays November 11th-12th

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation will host Handmade Holidays, a two-day, indoor designer craft market featuring more than 60 of the best local and regional independent artists, designers, and crafters.

The sixth annual Handmade Holidays will be from 9:00am to 4:00pm Saturday, November 11th, 2017 and from noon to 4:00pm Sunday, November 12th at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park, 1188 Cumberland Drive. Admission is free.

Customs House Museum to exhibit works by Nashville artist L.A. Bachman

Yellow Creek Baptist Church to Feed Over 1200 Families this Saturday, November 11th

 

Yellow Creek Baptist ChurchCumberland City, TN – For the seventh year in a row, Yellow Creek Baptist Church will be holding their free food giveaway this Saturday, November 11th, 2017 at 9:00am. What started as a relatively small event a few years ago has grown into one of the largest food giveaways of its kind in our area.

“Last year we gave out 1100 baskets and this year we are planning for right around 1200,” states Phillip Chambers, Pastor of Yellow Creek.

APSU Volleyball’s Kristen Stucker receives OVC Scholar-Athlete Award

APSU Women's VolleyballBrentwood, TN – Austin Peay State University volleyball team junior setter Kristen Stucker has been named as one of six recipients of the prestigious Ohio Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Award for 2017-18.

Stucker, of Johnstown, Iowa, becomes the 24th Austin Peay student-athlete to receive the OVC Scholar-Athlete Award since it was first awarded during the 1981-82 academic year.

Clarksville Police report man shot at Hundred Oaks Drive Dies

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report the man who was shot at a One Hundred Oaks Drive died, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, from his injuries.

He passed away in the morning hours. The case is being investigated as a Homicide.

There is no additional information at this time.
