Brentwood, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team freshman guard Brianah Ferby has been named adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week.
This is Ferby’s first OVC Freshman of the Week honor of her seven-game career, following a week where she led the Governors in scoring, racking up 34 points in a two-game span, averaging 3.5 rebounds, shooting 55.6 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.
Ferby is currently averaging 12.3 points per game with nine assists and 20 rebounds on the season. She leads the Governors in steals with 14, spurring the Govs six-game winning streak, Austin Peay’s first since 2005-06.
APSU Women’s Basketball will return home to the Dunn Center, 2:00pm, Saturday, December 9th against Western Illinois for their final home game of their non-conference schedule.
