Clarksville Police request public help identifying Aggravated Assault, Shoplifting Suspect

Good Samaritans Beware of Those With Bad Intentions

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say good samaritans were trying to help take a thief off the streets, but the reward for their efforts was that a man pulled a knife and threatened them.

On December 9th and 10th, there were two separate incidents at different locations in two days where good samaritans tried to stop a shoplifter after they witnessed a man stealing merchandise from the store.

In both situations, the men followed the shoplifter into the parking lot and confronted him.

That’s when the shoplifter pulled a knife and threatened the men who were trying to do the right thing. The shoplifter got away but fortunately the men were uninjured.

Clarksville Police have been able to determine the same man is responsible for both incidents of shoplifting and threatening the good samaritans with a knife. The businesses were in different parts of Clarksville; Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Police are asking the public’s assistance identifying the Aggravated Assault/Shoplifting suspect. In the photo, he is wearing the dark jacket in the doorway.
