Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office searches for Armed Robbery Suspect, the Rock Bandit

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for two armed robberies at two local businesses.

The first incident occurred at the Dollar General Market at 5425 Ashland City Road on December 14th, 2017 at 9:00pm.

A masked suspect is seen on video surveillance entering the store carrying a firearm and rock. He uses the rock to keep the automatic doors open while demanding money from the cashier.

The second incident occurred at the Dollar General Market at 1740 Highway 149 on December 17th, 2017 at 7:25pm.

A masked suspect is seen on video surveillance entering the store carrying a firearm and rock. He uses the rock to keep the automatic doors open. He walks to the back of the store, finds an employee, and forces her to the front by gun point. He then forces her to open both registers and dump the money into a bag.

The suspect is an African-American male. He was wearing a mask, black hoodie, black pants, and black and white tennis shoes.

He is being referred to as the “Rock Bandit” by investigators for his use of a rock as part of his escape plan. Between both stores he has stolen $408.00.

Once identified the suspect will be charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and aggravated kidnapping.
