APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – After a six-game homestand yielded a 5-1 mark, Austin Peay State University men’s basketball kicks off a four-game road trip with a 7:30pm, Thursday, January 11th, 2018 trip to Cookeville to take on Tennessee Tech.

The road has been unkind to Austin Peay thus far in the 2017-18 campaign, as the Govs seek their first road win on their sixth attempt.

After dropping their OVC opener, the Governors went on a three-game winning streak downing Eastern Illinois, UT Martin and Southeast Missouri as part of their conference homestand.

Clarksville Police reports Angela Carlton arrested in Coffee County

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports that Angela Carlton was taken into custody in Coffee County today.

After she faces pending charges at other locations, she will be returned to Montgomery County and booked in.

CPD was looking for Carlton in connection to the daycare break in on Ashland City Road that occurred on December 26th, 2017.

Food, cash, and some other random items were taken.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 6/6 Tennessee begins a three-game road swing, as the Lady Vols travel to College Station, Texas, to face No. 17/16 Texas A&M at 6:10pm CT (7:10pm ET) on Thursday, January 11th, 2018.

The Lady Vols’ match-up with Texas A&M is the first of four straight UT contests vs. teams ranked in the AP Top 20.  The Lady Vols and Aggies will be meeting for the 11th time overall and third time in College Station during the series.

The Lady Vols will be aiming to go 16-0 for only the fourth occasion in school history and for the first time during the Holly Warlick era.  The last time Tennessee began a season 16-0, the Lady Vols extended the streak to 18 games before finally falling during the 2005-06 season en route to a 31-5 overall record and an Elite Eight finish.

Clarksville Police have New Suspect Photos of Man Who Robbed an 81 Year Old Woman

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police continue to track down leads in the robbery of an 81 year old Clarksville woman on December 16th, 2017.

CPD just obtained photos from a Rivergate Mall store where the woman’s credit card was used on December 16th. There was over a $1,000 spent in the store.

In one photo, the man who actually robbed the woman is caught on camera (December 16th Suspect).
