Montgomery Parks and Recreation seeks Public Input on Rotary Park’s Nature Center

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Parks and Recreation (MCPR) will be hosting three public input meetings during the coming months for community members to have a first look at the proposed Rotary Park Nature Center as a part of MCPR’s Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation grant application.

The input meetings will provide the public with occasions to share their ideas and wishes about the nature center which is expected to be home to multiple interactive nature exhibits.

The meeting dates, times, and locations are as follows

  • Thursday, January 11th, 2018 at 6:00pm at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library
  • Monday, January 22nd, 2018 at 12:00pm at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library
  • Thursday, March 1st, 2018 at 6:00pm at Rotary Park Large Pavilion

The nature center will be an optimal venue for science related field trips and activities.

“We hope to have community members attend this event to help us plan the nature center into what the citizens would like,” said Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Director Jerry Allbright.

The public meetings are also posted on the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation website at www.mcgtn.org/parks
