Clarksville Civil War RoundtableClarksville, TN – The next meeting of the Clarksville (TN) Civil War Roundtable will be on Wednesday, January 17th, 2018 at the Bone & Joint Center, 980 Professional Park Drive, right across the street from Tennova Healthcare. This is just off Dunlop Lane and Holiday Drive and only a few minutes east of Governor’s Square mall.

The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is always open to the public. Members please bring a friend or two – new recruits are always welcomed.

Second round of snow, bitter cold prompts 2-hour delay

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – City of Clarksville Government offices will open at 10:00am Tuesday, January 16th because of the winter storm that is bringing snow and hazardous travel conditions to Middle Tennessee, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announced.

City Public Safety departments will be on duty as usual and all essential City services will continue.

Clarksville Police make arrests in Fort Campbell Boulevard Homicide

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have arrested two men for the homicide which occurred at 3193 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Independence Place Apartments on Sunday, January 14th, 2018.

The victim of the homicide was Keondre Jenkins, 20. During the course of their investigation and based on witness interviews, detectives determined Jamarcus Edwards, 21 was the driver of a vehicle and provided a handgun to Prince-Jamal Ligon, 20, who shot Keondre Jenkins.

APSU Women’s Tennis Home Opener Postponed

APSU Women's TennisClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team has postponed Monday’s match against Chattanooga until Sunday, February 4th, 2018 due to the threat of inclement weather.

The Governors have no matches until the rescheduled contest against Chattanooga which will still open their home schedule.

Tennessee Titans fire Head Coach Mike Mularkey

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans informed Mike Mularkey this morning that they are parting ways with him as the team’s head coach.

General Manager Jon Robinson thanks Mike Mularkey for all he has done for team and community. Robinson said the Titans are committed to winning a championship.

The search for a new head coach begins immediately.

APSU Govs Basketball to host supply drive at January 27th Doubleheader against Morehead State

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University will host a supply drive for the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation’s Teachers Warehouse, January 27th, 2018 during a basketball doubleheader against Morehead State.

Free admission to the games will be given to anyone who brings one or more items from the approved list below.

Staff will be available at the lower level entrances to the Dunn Center to collect the donations.
