Chlorine
Paintings by Tara Swalgren

In my recent works there are bolder colorations that match a natural aesthetic; with a bit of enchantment to them. The pieces focus on a series of mythological animals.

The inspiration comes from several cultures, artists, and creatures. I have spent some time researching different cultural myths/lore/and icons. This has allowed me to come up with folkloric animals of my own.

Each piece has a simplistic story and background while introducing a mystical element. They capture a natural fantasy.
