Clarksville Urbanized Area Metropolitan Planning Organization seeks input on Long-Range Traffic Planning

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Urbanized Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CUAMPO) is asking Tennessee and Kentucky residents in the Clarksville region to provide input on how they will connect to each other and the world and what transportation system improvements are needed to make those connections safe and reliable by the year 2045.

As part of the federally required planning work, the CUAMPO is developing a long-range transportation plan with a 20-plus year future view called the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).

In preparation for the 2045 MTP, the CUAMPO wants to hear the thoughts of residents concerning important transportation issues in the Clarksville Urbanized Area.

From February 19th to March 23rd, CUAMPO will conduct a community-wide survey to capture that information.

“The public’s responses to this survey are vitally important in the development of a transportation plan that can help everyone travel safely and efficiently in the Clarksville region in the years ahead,” said Stan Williams, CUAMPO Director. “We want to hear about transportation issues and concerns such as congestion, safety, access to transit, and funding,”

The survey can be accessed at www.surveymonkey.com/r/ClarksvilleMTP

It takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Since privacy is important, individual responses will not be shared.  Requests for information about the survey and the 2045 MTP may be directed to Stan Williams, CUAMPO Director, by email at stan.williams@cityofclarksville.com or by phone at 931.645.7448.
