The full day’s slate begins at 2:30pm with the opening stages of the field events followed by the track events kicking off at 3:00pm.

Austin Peay will look toward the pole vault, where it holds a considerable advantage in depth, to get its run for the team championship started.

Saturday has traditionally been moving day in the championship with the shot put and triple jump field events getting underway at 11:00am followed by the track events at 1:30pm. The championship concludes with the one-mile relay event, where the Govs rank fourth among the league’s teams, before the team champions are crowned.

Austin Peay finished fifth in last season’s indoor championship, but were only one point behind fourth-place finisher Eastern Kentucky. The Governors will look to build on that finish with a young squad led primarily by sophomores and freshmen during the season.
