Pilgrim came to the US in the 1980’s as a computer programmer and still owns a computer consulting company he started in 1989. He has been a professional race car driver for 30 years and is currently driving a Porsche with ProSport-Performance in the Creventic World Championship.

He has won five championships and 64 races in his professional racing career which includes driving with Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the 2001 Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Pilgrim, who has 22 years of experience talking to students, parents and educators about traffic safety and the growing danger of distracted driving, is a leading force in bringing attention to the critical role parents play in their children’s driving education. His message is that most parents never think about the fact that driver education for a child starts the moment a parent turns their child’s safety seat around to face forward.

Pilgrim has spoken at numerous conferences, corporations, hospitals and at FBI Quantico. In 2008, he started the Traffic Safety Education Foundation, a 501c(3), and in January 2016, he released his latest educational DVD called Realities of Driving Today.

The presentation is free and open to everyone.
