The proposal calls for Tylertown Road to be widened from Trenton Road to the City limits just past Oakland Road, and Oakland will be widened from Tylertown Road to Spring Creek.

The project will cover about 3 miles of roadway.

“As we all know, traffic is heavy in the high-growth Northeast section of our City, and we need better roads to meet our transportation needs,” Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan said. “Residents should attend this meeting to learn about the City’s progress on this plan and help set priorities and goals for the design of these road improvements.”

Citizens who attend the meeting will be able to view a presentation by HDR, the consultants hired to design the project, which will discuss options such as bike lanes and sidewalks. Attendees will be invited to break into small groups led by the consulting team and Clarksville Street Department staff to get a close look at design options, offer comments and ask questions.
