Clarksville Police Department Scams of the Day for April 14th, 2018

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is going to make the public aware of some of the scams that they receive daily. CPD knows there are an unlimited amounts of scams, but they are going to try and put out the ones where people have actually suffered a loss.

Consumers beware of Property Rental Scam. A local property management company lists their properties on Craigslist. They found there has been a scammer utilizing their photos and information and posting the properties as their own.

People are emailing this person about possibly renting and the scammer is asking for a money gram to be sent to him as the deposit.

The scammers email is clark_home@aol.com and his number is 832.510.4628.

There has also been a listing for this particular phone number on a website reporting scams. There have been variations of this type of scam reported before but with different numbers, emails and addresses.

Carefully check out any renter to ensure they are legitimate. Remember phone numbers can be spoofed and email addresses can be fictitious so scams can come from any number or email address.

If you have not experienced a monetary loss there is no need to contact Police to advise us.
