At Eastern Florida State, Dees was a standout on and off the field, boasting a 3.8 grade point average, and was recognized for her academic prowess as a NJCAA Second Team All-Academic selection.

Dees was prepped at Lake Region High School, where she was a star on the pitch and on the track, winning a District title in the 800 meter run. She is the daughter of Jeff and Anita Dees, who played softball collegiately at Louisiana-Monroe, and has one sister Morgan, 22. Dees plans to major in Business and Marketing at Austin Peay, and hopes to continue her soccer career after graduation, and one day be a business owner.

“Meghan is a quick, technical, and athletic defender who loves to get forward supporting the offense from a wide position,” said Kolarova. “She has significantly contributed to her JUCO team success the past 2 years and is always a presence on the field.  She makes good decisions defensively, is active offensively, communicates well, and plays a style we are after with our wide defenders next season.  Coming in with a few seasons under her belt also adds some experience and depth to our backline which we need for the fall season.  We’re excited she will be a Gov and look forward to her getting to Clarksville!”
