Tennessee Titans take Alabama’s Rashaan Evans in first round of NFL Draft

 

Tennessee TitansArlington, TX – The Tennessee Titans selected Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans with the 22nd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. From Auburn, AL, Evans is 6’3″, weighs 232lbs, has versatility and should become an instant starter.

At Alabama, Evans was a one year starter. In his final year with the Crimson Tide, he had a team high tying 74 tackles and led the team with 13 tackles for loss.

Nashville Sounds beat New Orleans Baby Cakes in extra innings, 7-6

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds saw their four-run lead after six innings disappear before coming from behind in the 10th inning to walk-off on the New Orleans Baby Cakes 7-6 Thursday night.

The Sounds got out to a 4-0 lead through six innings while starting pitcher Eric Jokisch turned in his best performance of the season. The southpaw came within one out of recording the Sounds’ third consecutive quality start. He was in line for his first win of the season as he tossed shutout 5 2/3 innings while giving up four hits and striking out six.

APSU BaseballClarksville, TN – The final month of Austin Peay baseball’s 2018 regular season kicks off when it hosts UT Martin in a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series, Friday-Sunday, at Raymond C. Hand Park.

A 6:00pm, Friday first pitch will start the three-game set with Coca-Cola sponsoring the game and Fuse Fireworks presenting a fireworks show following the contest.

Clarksville Police identify Porch Pirates, Felony Theft Warrants of File

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say there is no such thing as a porch pirate warrant in Tennessee Code Annotated, but there are charges for Theft and that’s what’s waiting for the two woman identified in the video of property being stolen from an Oakmont Drive residence in broad daylight on April 2nd, 2018.

After widespread media coverage, numerous tips, and hard work by Detective Coleman, there are Felony Theft warrants on file for Tammy Sue Hicks, 44 (One Felony Theft warrant) and Sharlita Leilani Richardson, 44 (already had one Felony Warrant on file, so now has a second).

Temperatures are forecast to be near 70 degrees all three days of this weekend’s series, the next to last weekend series at Raymond C. Hand Park this season.

Tennessee Titans have 25th Pick in 2018 NFL Draft

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans are scheduled to have the 25th overall selection and six total picks in the 83rd Annual National Football League Player Selection Meeting, beginning April 26th, 2018 in Arlington, Texas.

The NFL will conduct the seven-round draft at AT&T Stadium, marking the first time an NFL stadium has hosted the event. The draft site will encompass the field, stands and outdoor plazas at the Dallas Cowboys’ home venue.
