Clarksville’s Queen City Road Race set for this Saturday, May 5th

Runners can register for the 5K or One Mile Event

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The 40th Annual Queen City Road Race, scheduled for Saturday, May 5th, 2018 is quickly approaching and there is still time to register in person or online.

Online registration can be completed at www.cityofclarksville.com/parksrec and is available until noon on Friday, May 4th. Participants registering in person may come by the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Office, 102 Public Square, through Friday, May 4th or register on-site at Austin Peay’s Foy Center the morning of Saturday, May 5th.

Queen City Road Race celebrates 40 years

For those registered in the 5K and one mile event, packets will be available for early pick up from 9:00am until 6:00pm on May 3rd and 4th at Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s main office, 102 Public Square. Packets will also be available at the Foy Center beginning at 7:15am on Saturday, May 5th.

Be aware that as the 5K race route takes runners through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville, there will be several road closures to accommodate the safety of the runners on Saturday, May 5th.

Marion Street, between Drane and Henry Streets, will be closed to traffic beginning at 8:00am for the start of the race. The south bound lane of North Second Street to Main Street will be closed, as well as the eastbound lane of College Street and University Avenue to Eighth Street beginning at 8:30am. Parking will be available in the lot in front of Burt School. Parking will not be available in the lot behind the Foy Center.
