Austin Peay State University Football alumnus Kyran Moore signs with CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders

APSU FootballRegina, Saskatchewan – Austin Peay State University alumnus Kyran Moore has signed a free agent contract with the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders, the team announced Thursday.

Moore, an all-purpose standout while with the Governors was a first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection last season.

He made the most of his senior season in an Austin Peay Governors uniform.

The do-it-all playmaker from Bessemer, Alabama finished the 2017 season with 757 yards of total offense, while scoring eight total touchdowns.

In addition to his stellar offensive numbers, Moore asserted himself as the top return specialist in the conference. His 363 all-purpose yard-breakout performance against FBS powerhouse UCF on Oct. 28 earned him STATS FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

The Roughriders reached the Eastern Conference final last season after becoming the last team to earn a spot in the six-team field. The 2018 Canadian Football League campaign begins June 14th.
