Clarksville Police take Three Juveniles into Custody for Vicious Assault and Robbery

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detectives and patrol officers worked tirelessly and in tandem to take three juveniles off the streets after they viciously assaulted a store employee, in his 70s, during the commission of a robbery.

Three juveniles entered Super Suds Carwash, 714 Peachers Mill Road, around 10:00pm on May 30th, 2018 pointed a rifle at the employee, a struggle ensued, and the man fell to the ground; the man was then kicked and hit with the butt of the rifle multiple times.

While one of the juveniles pointed the rifle at the victim on the floor, the other juveniles tipped over a coin operated game machine and took an unknown amount of money.

The victim’s pickup keys were taken and the juveniles fled from the scene in his vehicle.

Detectives Coleman, Baker, and Bailey worked with patrol officers to identify the culprits and had all three in custody by late Thursday afternoon. Two of the juveniles are 14 and the third is 13, were charged with Especially Aggravated Robbery, Theft of a Motor Vehicle and transported to a juvenile holding facility.

There are additional charges expected.

After the assault, the victim was taken by ambulance to Tennova Healthcare and then transferred to Skyline Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained during the robbery. He is in stable condition.
