Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Keesee Barbershop at 900 College Street was good enough to host the Clarksville Police Department’s third Chat and a Cut on Saturday, August 4th, 2018.

It’s a way for the Clarksville Police Department to reach out to the community and meet citizens in a comfortable, non-threatening environment. The Chief and several other officers walked into Keesee Barbershop on Saturday morning with coffee and donuts, in hand, ready to meet and talk with patrons that were coming in for a “cut”.

The management of Keesee’s Barbershop and customers were welcoming and very open in their opinions.

The conversations covered a wide variety of topics such as consolidation, recruitment of minorities, ways to improve relations and some of the perceptions in the community about law enforcement.

The Chief and officers did not shy away from the tough questions and it was the type of interaction the Police Department has been striving to achieve. There were also some children who met and talked with the officers and were especially pleased with the goodies the officers brought with them.

CPD appreciates Keesee’s Barbershop for allowing them to visit during their busy time and truly appreciate the honest exchange of information with the patrons.
