Clarksville Police release update on recent Motor Vehicle Thefts

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – After the Clarksville Police Department initial release yesterday, CPD determined more motor vehicle thefts had occurred between the August 12th and 13th, 2018 as well as vehicle burglaries.

There were four more motor vehicle thefts on top of the eight previously reported. The other four motor vehicle thefts took place at Carousel Court, Fairfax Drive, and Jon Drive which are in a different part of the city than the other eight stolen vehicles but, occurred during the same time frame.

There were also several vehicle burglaries committed in the areas where the twelve motor vehicle thefts took place.

Three of the twelve stolen motor vehicles were found abandoned and recovered locally.

There have been several uses, in the Nashville area, of the credit/debit cards taken from the stolen vehicles. Clarksville Police have released photos of suspects using the credit/debit cards.

Clarksville Police believe the suspects of motor vehicle thefts and burglaries are linked with similar crimes occurring between Clarksville and the Nashville area and are collaborating with other law enforcement agencies.
