Nashville Sounds shut out at New Orleans Baby Cakes, 2-0

Nashville Sounds

Nashville SoundsMetairie, LA – The Nashville Sounds were silenced Wednesday night as they fell to the New Orleans Baby Cakes 2-0 at the Shrine on Airline.

Making a spot start, Carlos Ramirez gave the Sounds all they could ask for. The right-hander went a career-long four innings in his first career start and blanked the Baby Cakes in those four frames. He yielded three hits on the night without walking anyone.

Offensively the Sounds had no answer for New Orleans’ Dillon Peters, who kept the Sounds’ batters off balance all night long. The southpaw collected a dozen punch outs to set a new career-high and retired the final ten batters he faced. The 12 strikeouts matched a New Orleans franchise record.

Dodging the Roadkill: To Each His Own

Dodging the Roadkill - A Biker's JourneyClarksville, TN – When I first started this journey, it was always going to be a Harley for me.  The last motorcycle I owned was a Suzuki 750.  I wanted to own a Harley and I wanted to get fully involved in the “biker culture” and a Harley was what I wanted.

I also want to own an Indian.  The more I research this company and their products, the more I want to own and ride one.  Since I started this journey late in life, I won’t have the years and years of riding that many of you have had to try different bikes, or ride different models, so I will do my best to get a taste of them all.

The point is, it doesn’t matter what you ride.  It doesn’t matter what brand you’re loyal to.  It matters THAT. YOU. RIDE!

Motorcycle Riders.

NASA’s InSight Mars lander to measure temperature of Mars

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space AdministrationPasadena, CA – Ambitious climbers, forget Mt. Everest. Dream about Mars.

The Red Planet has some of the tallest mountains in the solar system. They include Olympus Mons, a volcano nearly three times the height of Everest. It borders a region called the Tharsis plateau, where three equally awe-inspiring volcanoes dominate the landscape.

But what geologic processes created these features on the Martian surface? Scientists have long wondered — and may soon know more.
