The Governors will face off against numerous student athletes and also familiar foes from the Ohio Valley Conference, such as SIU Edwardsville, Murray State, and Southeast Missouri in addition to regional foe and host Southern Illinois.

The returning Governors will be led by senior duo Emmaculate Kiplagat and Caroline Kiplagat, who ran the second and third fastest times in school history at last fall’s NCAA Regional in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Expected to be right behind the Kiplagats will be Maisie Lay, a junior college All-American who transferred to Austin Peay from Vincennes during the summer.

A quartet of sophomores return for the Govs as Jada Hale, Sophia Wilson, Alura Endres, and Keleah Shell look to continue to make a name for themselves this season.

Clarksville native and freshman Sarah Martin will begin her collegiate career for the Govs, as well as former Ohio state champion Molly Howard of Cuyahoga Falls, who will be eager to display her abilities on the course this Friday.
