APSU Volleyball’s Kristen Stucker receives 16th OVC Setter of the Week honor

APSU Women's VolleyballBrentwood, TN – For the 16th time in her career, Austin Peay State University (APSU) senior setter Kristen Stucker has been named the adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Setter of the Week.

Stucker, of Johnston, Iowa, paced the Govs to the Middle Tennessee Blue Raider Bash title with 134 assists (13.40 per set) while the team posted a .219 attack percentage with her on the floor.

She also remained errorless in attack this season, adding seven kills on 14 attempts, while chipping in 32 digs and posting two double-doubles.

It was a modest start to the weekend for Stucker as she only needed 35 assists (11.67/set) in the APSU Govs sweep of Middle Tennessee, leading the team to an impressive .318 attack percentage. She followed that with a 41-assist (13.67/set), 11-dig double-double against Stetson. Stucker finished the week with an impressive 58-assist (14.50/set) outing against Troy that also saw her notch 12 digs for a second double-double.

The league’s other weekly awards went to Morehead State’s Olivia Lohmeier (offensive), Tennessee Tech’s Krirsten Brugere (defensive) and Tennessee Tech’s Erica Grant (newcomer).

Austin Peay has a short week ahead with only a pair of Saturday matches in Evansville, Indiana. The Governors will face Northern Kentucky and Evansville on their trip north.
