APSU Women's GolfClarksville, TN – After struggling to get off the mark at the GolfWeek Program Challenge, Austin Peay State University women’s golf looks to regain its footing at the Greenbrier Invitational, hosted by Morehead State, at Greenbrier Country Club in Lexington, Kentucky.

The two-day, 54-hole event kicks off with an 8:00am (CT) shotgun start, Monday, followed by the first 36 holes of play. Tuesday’s final 18 holes also begin with an 8:00am (CT) start.

The Govs and Eagles will be joined by another Ohio Valley Conference foe in Belmont, as well as Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, UNC Asheville, Winthrop and Wofford, along with individuals from Kentucky. Austin Peay will be in an all-OVC pairing alongside the Eagles and Bruins.

“Our team really looking forward to being in Lexington this weekend,” said head coach Amy McCollum. “We will be playing on a great course and have really worked hard the last couple days to get prepared and build on what we have been working on the last week.”

On the strength of exceptional starts to their collegiate careers last week at Pawley’s Island, freshmen Taylor Dedmen and Shelby Darnell will slot into the top-two spots this week. Dedmen led all Govs with a 19th-place finish at Caledonia Golf and Fish Club and was the only Gov in the 70s for all three rounds.

Senior Taylor Goodley will return to the lineup as the No. 3, but will be joined by junior Meghann Stamps and senior Reagan Greene as the No. 4 and No. 5 players in the lineup; both will make their season debuts for the Govs.

There will be no live scoring for this event, but a complete recap and a full component of stats will be available at the end of each day at LetsGoPeay.com.
