Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – In Week 12 of the 2014 season, the Tennessee Titans traveled to the Philadelphia Eagles and fell to a 2-9 record with a loss against the Eagles.

Eagles WR Josh Huff returned the opening kickoff 107 yards for a touchdown to immediately put Philadelphia ahead 7-0. The Titans offense, led by QB Zach Mettenberger, punted on their first four possessions and were unable to manufacture a first down in the first quarter.

On Philadelphia’s second possession, Eagles QB Mark Sanchez engineered an eight-play, 51-yard drive that culminated in a four-yard rushing score by Eagles RB Darren Sproles as Philadelphia took a 14-0 lead.

On Philadelphia’s final possession of the first quarter, in his first career start, CB Brandon Ghee intercepted a pass from Sanchez at the Eagles’ 30-yard line.

On the ensuing possession, Mettenberger tossed a 40-yard touchdown pass to WR Justin Hunter as the Titans cut cut Philadephia’s lead, 17-7.

Against the Eagles, Mettenberger was 20-of-39 passing for 345 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for an 88.1 passer rating.

In the second quarter, Mettenberger connected on a 68-yard pass to TE Delanie Walker, leading to a two-yard score by RB Shonn Greene to inch Tennessee closer to Philadelphia, 20-14. Walker registered a career-high 155 receiving yards on five catches.

In the third quarter, S Daimion Stafford notched his first career interception as he picked off a Sanchez pass and raced 33 yards on the return. Defensively, the Titans collected two sacks as DT Jurrell Casey took down Sanchez in the first quarter and OLB Derrick Morgan sacked Sanchez in the third.

In the fourth quarter, RB Dexter McCluster caught a six-yard touchdown from Mettenberger, but ultimately Philadelphia took the win in Nashville with a final score of 43-24.
