Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police report a man who was late for work needed an excuse so he fabricated a story about being robbed.

He was supposedly approached by a man who demanded his car and when Gonzales refused, he claimed to have been cut by a blade of some kind on the right side of the abdomen.

He conveyed that he retaliated and punched the man, at which time, the man fled from the scene.

During an interview by Detective Bradley, the story revealed some inconsistencies. When pressed on the details, it was determined the story had been made up to try and cover for Gonzales’ being late for work.

Damien Gonzales, 21 was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with: False Report. His bond was set at $1,000.
