The Govs are in the midst of their fall season while the women’s team finished up last week. Both teams played at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals last week.

Jacob Lorino was the standout performer for the men last week. Lorino and his partner Timo Kiesslich won their first round main draw doubles match over a duo from Butler in a tiebreak and almost advanced to the Round of 16, but unfortunately fell in a tiebreak in the second round.

Lorino was also the only Gov to win a singles match, defeating Lope Adelakun of Butler again in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. The match was the first round of the consolation draw and Lorino was the lone Gov to advance to the second round in any singles or doubles format.

Play gets underway tomorrow morning. Follow @AustinPeayMTN on Twitter for the recap on the day’s action.
