APSU SoftballClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s (APSU) softball team scored at least one run in each inning versus Shawnee Community College, Friday at Joe & Cathi Maynard Stadium-Cheryl Holt Field, as it came away with a 31-0 victory to closeout its fall slate of inter-collegiate games.

APSU Women's VolleyballClarksville, TN – Behind a season-high tying 14 blocks, Austin Peay State University’s (APSU) volleyball team regained sole possession of first place in the Ohio Valley Conference with a four-set victory (25-19, 25-15, 14-25, 25-13) against Jacksonville State, Friday night at the Winfield Dunn Center.

Clarksville-Montgomery County area TDOT Work starting October 19th, 2018

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that in Montgomery County on SR 374 (Warfield Boulevard) there will be widening work from South of Dunbar Cave Road to West of Stokes Road from 9:00am until 3:30pm, on Tuesday, October 23rd.

There will be intermittent road closures on Warfield Boulevard, between Dunbar Cave Road and Stokes Road, for pre-split blasting. All traffic will be halted during the blasting process until all debris is removed from roadway.

Clarksville Police charge Three Juveniles in Vehicle Burglaries

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police charged three juveniles, two – 17 years old and a 16 year old, in conjunction with four vehicle burglaries occurring between October 11th-16th, 2018 in the area of Jenny Lane, Scrub Oak and Tamara Lane.

The vehicles broken into were all left unlocked. One of the 17 year old juveniles told the detective that they, specifically, target vehicles which are unlocked.

Clarksville Police report Injury Crash on Riverside Drive sends Five to Hospital

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police respond to a traffic crash at the intersection of College Street and Riverside Drive around 11:37am today that sent five men to the hospital.

A Ford F-450, driven by a 31 year old male was traveling south on Riverside Drive through a work area and, for an unknown reason, did not maintain the work zone travel pattern. He collided with a patrol car, continued onward, hit two work lifts with two men occupying each one, and came to rest.

Clarksville Police reports Man Crashes into Wendy’s Drive-Thru, Flees on Foot

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, October 18th, 2018 at 9:00pm, Clarksville Police Officers were called to the Wendy’s located at 2800 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard about a motor vehicle crash, in which a Mercury C6S ran into the drive thru and the driver ran from the vehicle.

A short distance away, officers located a man meeting the description of the man who ran from the vehicle.

Thursday night, a Mercury C6S crashed into the Wendy's Drive-Thru located on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

City of Clarksville issues Halloween Advisory, “Be Safe, have Fun”

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville does not designate a time or rules for traditional Halloween trick or treating, except that the city’s regular curfew law for minors remains in effect.

“This year Halloween falls on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 and City government, except for the standard curfew law, does not prescribe any time limits or other restrictions,” said Richard V. Stevens, Communications Director for the City of Clarksville.
