APSU Men's GolfClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s golf will close out a busy fall slate with a trip to Kennesaw, Georgia for the Pinetree Intercollegiate, hosted by Kennesaw State at Pinetree Country Club.

This will be the seventh year the Owls have hosted this event, and will mark Austin Peay’s first visit. Kennesaw State, victor of its home event from 2012-14 and again in 2016, will host student-athletes from Belmont, Elon, Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville State, Mercer, Nicholls, Northern Illinois, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin in addition to the Govs.

Pinetree Country Club measures out at 7,108 yards and will play at par-72 this week. Teams will play 36 holes, beginning 7:00am (CT), Monday, and wrap the tournament with an additional 18 holes, 7:00am (CT), Tuesday.

The Govs will send out the exact same lineup this week as represented Austin Peay at last week’s F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate in Dickson, which means sophomore Chase Korte and junior Michael Busse again take the top two spots.

Korte again led the Govs in the home event last week, placing ninth, while Busse’s final-round 69 equaled sophomore Garrett Whitfield for best by a Gov at Greystone; Whitfield will again play as the No. 3 after shooting a three-under back-nine in the final round.

Junior Austin Lancaster and freshman Micah Knisley round out the Austin Peay lineup. Lancaster tied for the team high last week at Greystone with nine birdies and will make his second straight appearance in the lineup.

Unique for this event, the pairings will be foursomes instead of the typical three-player set up; the Govs will be paired with Ohio Valley Conference peer Belmont, who won the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate last week, and Nicholls, along with a team of individuals.

Live scoring will be available for this event courtesy of GolfStat.com, and updates will be available throughout the round on Twitter @AustinPeayMGO. A complete recap of all the day’s action will be available Monday and Tuesday at LetsGoPeay.com.
