Ozelis, still adapting to a new doubles partner after the graduation of Aleh Drobysh, is starting to form a formidable partnership with Swedish freshman Anton Damberg.

The duo advanced to the Flight A Doubles Championship with a 6-2 win over Ball State’s Nemanja and Marko Guzina. Ozelis also defeated Fabian Salle of Louisville in three sets to advance to the Flight A Singles Championship. The Lithuanian prevailed by a score of 6-2, 6-7, 6-2.

Elsewhere for the Govs, Timo Kiesslich won in the first consolation round of Flight B Singles over Zacharias Rasmusson of Illinois State in straight sets (6-2, 6-4), but fell in the semifinals of the draw later in the day. Chad Woodham is also in the Flight D Singles Consolation Championship after defeating Bellarmine’s Sam Rueff, 6-4, 6-3.

Christian Edison also rebounded from a rough opening day Friday to win his first match in the tournament’s “Red Draw.” He took down a fellow Ohio Valley Conference player in Tennessee Tech’s Marc Mila in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.

The Govs resume play this morning, with doubles and consolation action set to go first. Make sure to follow @AustinPeayMTN on Twitter to see the recap of tomorrow’s action.
