Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducts Operation Accountability

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Warrants and Sexual Offender Unit worked with local and state agencies to arrest persons with outstanding family violence warrants.

Locally the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office partnered with Austin Peay State University’s Police Department and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Unit. They attempted to serve 65 warrants and were successful in making 14 arrests.

Operation Accountability which occurred on Wednesday, October 18th, 2018, was part of the 16th Annual National Family Violence Apprehension Detail.

Over 200 law enforcement agencies from across the nation participated in the initiative.

All agencies served outstanding warrants with charges ranging from harassment to murder.

The collaborative effort helps raise awareness of domestic violence in our communities. It also helps demonstrate to offenders that they will be held accountable for the actions.
